The practice of Traditional, complementary and Alternative medicine is taking a new turn with the Nigerian Government establishing a department for it out of the Government Ministry Department and Agencies (MDA). The department was approved by the head of Service in April 2018 and commences operation fully in July 2018. We could wish the department i.e. Tradition, Complementary and Alternative Medicine Department (TCAMD) a happy 5 years anniversary. The department carries the vision of seeing the practice of Traditional, complementary and Alternative medicine in Nigeria become a respected mode of treatment. It seeks to preserve our cultural heritage with respectable practitioners and providers. It seeks to deliver quality healthcare to all Nigerians through its practice and benefiting from its economic potential.
