GTBank Demand pull stress.

GTBank is a well know bank with the full meaning of its popular abbreviation GTBank as Guarantee Trust Bank. As a customer to the bank, I am one of its many customers who gave them my trust but not sure if it is guaranteed as before. We enjoyed benefits like zero account, some interest on our savings monthly; no matter how little, giving us a sense of  satisfaction. Now, the reverse is the case for interest; instead of giving interest, they extort from customers in the name of SMS charges and transfer charges. If after compiling the money lost monthly to these charges, it adds to the stress one experience daily.

We are discussing stress and looking at the demand pull rise in stress level caused by GTBank. If you are a little active on social media, you would have noticed GTBank trends, They are not trending because they did a laudable Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) but because of there outrageous charges on transfer and sms transaction. People are looking for ways to relieve stress, GTBank is trying to increase stress ignorant of the damage stress could cause the body.

Stress are tension that helps the body focus to meet up pressure, escape from danger or solve pressing life issues. Stress is a form of emotional or physical tension that comes from events or thoughts that makes one angry, feel frustrated and nervous. Anxiety (the fear of the unknown) for example, not knowing where the next meal would come from, where the next funds to fuel your car would come from are thought that produces stress. Physical event like having a nagging wife or a boss that frustrate you at work.

When situation that causes stress happens, the body reacts to it by releasing hormones to help one stay active to deal with the stressor. We noticed that what we can't deal with, we endure. This brings us to the two type of stress.

  • Acute stress: this is the kind of stress that happens for a short while and it's over. You feel it when you abruptly apply the brakes on your car, or you have a fight with your partner, or you try to skid off a slippery ground.
  • Chronic Stress: This is a prolong stress that sometimes last for weeks or Months. It could be caused by money problems, unhappy marriage or trouble at work. One could get used to chronic Stress that it could led to health problem.
Health problems that is caused by stress especially chronic Stress include: high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, depression, obesity, menstrual issues, skin problems like acne and eczema.
When they body notice stress, it releases an hormone that makes one alert, causes the muscles to be tense and increases ones pulse. To help deal with the stressor, if one get use to it even when the stressor is no longer there, it could lead to devastating health consequences.

The GTBank demand pull stress could be tackle by either calling or going to their branch office to stop sms chargers, as long as your email services works. If they try to play smart, you could be smarter by changing your sim or blocking the sms service on your sim. To deal with the stressor of the bank, one do not need to go to the bank, they are just a phone call away.

These are some of the symptoms that shows that one is undergoing stress: tiredness, forgetfulness, Diarrhea or constipation, trouble sleeping or sleeping too much, use of alcohol to relax, trouble sleeping or sleeping too much, weight loss or gain,  sexual problem etc.

The remedy I would like to suggest here, beyond the use of drugs is to take a bed rest. It could be funny but take sometime off work or bad marriage, check in to an hotel and just rest. If one breaks-down, and taken to the hospital, what one would surely get is a bed rest.

Let me end by saying take out time to identify what gives you stress, it could be causing chronic Stress, just take out time away from it and rest.
