Conscious eating

As one develops, one crave for food and always wants to eat in order to grow, normal growing children need nutrition and just take what his or her guardian feeds him or her with, not conscious of what comes in to the body. But the mind is divided into two, the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind accept everything be it good or bad. The conscious mind choose what to take in based on the human senses.

The body has 5 senses that feeds the conscious mind, the sense of sight, the sense of touch, the sense of taste, the sense of hearing and the sense of smell. The conscious mind can distinguish negative sense from positive sense. Bad smell from a good smell, bad taste (bitter taste) from a sweet taste etc.

The guardian of the toddler program into the memory of the child consciously or subconsciously what he or she decides as good food. Bitter leaf would start becoming sweet when one eats it when it is programmed to be food subconsciously or consciously to a toddler, it always taste bitter, but in our side of the world we eat bitter leaf soup. Beer never taste sweet but maybe by one subconsciously watching people taking beer and maybe watching beer television commercials, one could subconsciously believe it taste good and it is good for food even if it always taste bitter.

I heard a story of someone who is used to watching McDonald's burger TV commercials and he had never tasted or stayed in the country where McDonald's exist. I believe McDonald's is not in most of African nations. So when he had the chance to travel down to the USA, he immediately took the next stop to McDonald's and asked for two burgers. One for him, one for his wife. With his expectations already risen, seeing his long lasting dream come true, he couldn't wait to take a bite. When he did, he was highly disappointed because it had no taste. It tasted just like wood. We in our nation are use to eating salts and other seasoning that add to the taste of our food; according to him, the food wasn't salty.

Now let's talk about steaks we love our meat to be well cooked, other races palate could enjoy half cooked steak. What I'm just trying to emphasize is that ones guardian sometimes program food that doesn't consciously taste sweet to be food to an individual.

We wrote previously on a post calorie balance (calories in calories out)

Where we needed to encourage the choosing of meal with lesser calories. Please read and get the gist.

We understand that fatty food gives large calories, consuming food with large calories is  not altogether bad but one would have to work out the calories or it would add to ones body fat. So many discouraged the eating of fatty food and encouragement more of carbohydrates not knowing, carbohydrates may have little calories but gives a more craving to consume more of it than necessary compared to fatty food. Now we are trying to discontinue consciously what we have subconsciously programmed into our diet and we want to watch what we eat.

Many have stop taking soda, even if they do, they do diet coke. Many reduce candy and red meat. They want a change in their diet for health reasons  We had discussed a little about diabetes in our post I'm Fat So What?

one tend to be conscious of what goes into the mouth for health reasons and to prevent obesity.

PrEP vs. Other HIV Prevention Strategies: Education, Condom Use, and Behavioral Choices

While Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a highly effective pharmaceutical approach to preventing HIV, it is important to recognize that there are other methods of prevention that can work in tandem or serve as alternatives. These include education, consistent condom use, monogamy, avoiding unprotected sex, and abstinence. Each method has its own benefits and drawbacks, and understanding how they compare can help individuals make more informed choices about their sexual health.   1. Education and Awareness: The Foundation of Prevention Education plays a critical role in preventing the spread of HIV. Knowledge about how HIV is transmitted, the risks of unprotected sex, and the importance of using preventive measures like condoms can significantly reduce the likelihood of infection. Programs that focus on safe sexual practices —including correct condom use, understanding HIV status, and avoiding high-risk behaviors—are essential components of a comprehensive HIV prevention strategy. ...
