Understanding the rules of engagement

Being a blogger makes you an online publisher because you provide content and traffic for advertisers to promote their products. We have lots of advertising agency online, we have: propellerads, pop-ads, google ads etc. But I want to believe the most profitable ads agency is google ads.

Google advertises on different type of content like website or blog, videos on YouTube and apps which is handled by Admob. The rest are handled by Adsense. All have their individual policies which is expedient one study if one is expected to continue to earn through ads. Moreover, there are so many ways to earn as a blogger outside google ads. One could do affiliate marketing and we have lots of them around like: markethealth, which is very related to our niche and for my folks in Nigeria, you could consider Jumia or Konga affiliate marketing. You could also earn by selling products and services like our TCM app that gives one the opportunities to buy TCM products online but unfortunately, it’s been yanked off playstote because of what we want to talk about but we have a second chance to rectify the violations then it would be up again. You could also earn by seminars if what you provide is good stuff, Facebook also started rewarding folks posting videos on the Fan pages.
Google which happens to be the most popular way to earn for bloggers, rewards ones passions by placing ads on your content as long as ones content could provide traffic. For YouTube Adsense, one should be able to provided a total view of 10,000 (10k), blogger Adsense which is the most popular should provided at least 17-30 post on there blog, website on a paid hosting server could get one started immediately because I could remember our first and second website start receiving ads almost immediately as long as one integrates the ads code to the website . Then the last but not the least is Admob which get you started almost immediately like the website. The Admob shows different type of ads. The banner ads which is sometimes shown below or above the game or the app one uses. Well, we have not got to policy violations but permit me to just mention this one. In Admob, one is given the privilege to place ads where ever one feels like but if one places a banner ad to interrupt the flow of the game or app, it becomes a deceptive ad and it’s a policy violation that could lead to consequences. Though we might not be able to discuss all of google’s ad policy, but you could check it up here. We have the interstitial ads which covers the screen and the video ads which plays videos in between games or app. Some games gives an opportunity to earn game bonus if one is willing to view the video. I want to believe it's the most rewarding Admob ads.
Some of us as bloggers don’t understand how the ads agency works especially the google ads. We don’t often open the google Adsense account. Even if we did, we don’t have the time to understand the simple acronyms on the account like: CPC (cost per click), CTR (click through rate), CPM (Cost per 1000 impressions). We don’t understand these ratios. Many give up on blogging because as bloggers, we concentrate on our content and think of something to give our viewers to keep them glued to our blog and consequently increase our traffic. All of a sudden it just come bursting in our face that all we earned from google ads is gone for one policy violation. It discourages but it’s important one understand the rules of engagement to keep earning. Many does self clicks just because the see their not earning as expected but a good man once told me, pursue success in business then wealth would follow. We are all in the journey of pursuing success, we have seen our ups and down, loss 3 apps, made few mistakes, criticized as a clickbait, shooed away while trying to get content but we are still here. Just a word of encouragement to must of our bloggers, “keep pushing even if your account gets banned, start again”.

Understanding CPR: A Lifesaving Skill Everyone Should Learn

The tragic passing of popular Nigerian actor John Paul Odonwodo, known as Junior Pope, in April 2024, serves as a stark reminder of the importance of emergency preparedness and the life-saving skill of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Junior Pope's untimely death, reportedly due to drowning while returning from a movie shoot, highlights a critical need for greater awareness and training in CPR across Nigeria. While initial reports suggested he was resuscitated, this incident underscores a vital point: effective CPR can mean the difference between life and death. Unfortunately, many people in Nigeria lack the knowledge and training necessary to perform this life-saving technique.   What is CPR? CPR is a combination of chest compressions and rescue breaths aimed at restoring blood flow and oxygen to the brain and vital organs when someone's heartbeat has stopped or they have stopped breathing.
