One of the common symptom of major ailment including the nobel covid-19 is flu. Sneezing and running nose mucus and sometimes the cough of mucus is common to flu.

Steam therapy do not completely help kill the germs (virus or microorganism) that cause the flu, but give relief and help the body heal faster.

Steam therapy also called steam inhaling is simply done by boil hot water, place the water in a bow and cover ones head with a towel to the boiled water. One should  go atleast 8 -12 inches close to the hot water in other to inhale the steam. One also needs to be extra careful while doing it to avoid the hot water spilling on ones body. This could lead to hot water bath burn. It is advised to supervise children to avoid burn from the process.

One could inhale the steam for 2 to 3 minutes but maximally, 15 minutes of steam inhaling is enough. They are other gases one inhales in African Traditional medicine (ATM). Hope we still remember the cough therapy cough in african traditional medicine

One should do ones best to practise steam therapy atleast once a weak to help clear the airways and prevent one from unnecessary flu.
