Ash wednessday (Alternative health benefit)

Today is ash Wednesday, it begins the Christian lent where they have to undergo a forty days fast to share in the suffering of what Jesus did on the cross to save mankind. Though they don't fast on Sunday but in their congregation of worship for the period of the lent, the atmosphere of worship depicts mourning. Some congregation don't use the drum when it's time to play music and the music played during that period usually sound sorrowful. Nevertheless, not all Christians observe lent or understands lent. Christianity in my part of the world is divide into four that I can remember, Roman Catholic, Protestant churches, Pentecostal and traditional religious churches. Lent I guess is mainly practice by the Roman Catholic and Protestant Christians. Our concern today is to tell us how this fast can bring natural healing to the body.

Fast is a practice used in the old times to heal one-selves but still relevant in our modern day. Medicine helps alleviate the outer symptom of sickness not really undermine the importance of medicine, but fast works from the inside and destroys inferior cells to generate new healthier cells and tissues. The body posses the ability to heal itself and fasting is a good way to allow it do that. Some of the benefit of fasting includes:

  • healing a host of minor (sometimes major) health disorder.
  •  enhances ones mood.
  • Obviously it helps one loss weight.
  • It stimulate new cell growth.
  • It make you look younger.
  • It increases mental clarity
  • It improves hormonal balance
This are few of the benefit you derive from fasting. So if you don't want to partake in the lent because it's a christian thing, you could do it for your health benefit. For more info about fasting, visit www.allaboutfasting.com
