Post-Natal Psychosis (PNP)

The 21st of January was Marthin Lurther King Jr's day being celebrated in all 50 state of the United state. Martin Luther who was born on the 15th of January, 1929  is been celebrited within the 15th -21st of January and remembered for been a human right activist who had a dream to liberate the black race in America from discrimination. The actions of Martin Luther king Jr can be traced to the spirit of alternative health to see that everyone get access to wellness in body and mind at a considerable amount of money. What other topic would best feet to remember Martin Luther than to talk about one of the most discrimnated disease of the mind that science cannot completely explain how it occur but believes it could be genetic. Psychosis and schizophrenia is the hieght of mental disorder. It is worst than bipolar disorder and anxiety. It is when an individual begins to display highly erractic behaviours, and can no longer distinguish between what's real and what is not.

One major psychosis found among women after child birth is postnatal psychosis. The pain of  child birth sometimes leads to depression and sometimes result into psychosis called post-natal psychosis (PNP), it leads to the mother lossing their mind. The hormonal change during and after pregnacy could also be a factor of depression after child birth. One possible reason they sometimes say is that people with family heredity of bipolar disorder or psychosis could trigger PNP but we have cases of people whose family heridity is not traced to psychosis or bipolar disorder who had PNP after child birth. According to the research carried out by the centre of Martenal and child enquires in 2009, the single biggest cause of death in new mothers is suicide due to post-natal mental health illness. The syndrome is characterised by feeling of intense paranoia, delusion, hallucinations and rapid mood swings.

It usually evolve two or three days after child birth, but we have seen some cases where one go from completely normal to total psychotic after child birth in hours. It is vital that women demonstrating the first sign of PNP are reffered immediately to their doctors or taken to the hospital for medication.

We have possible solution to psychosis which can be found in cannabis. People prefer the cannabidiol (CBD) oil which is low in Tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC) which doesn't make one high and it's not smoked but injested in oil form. Cannibis is not legally accepted round the world but could be a possible cure for psychosis. It should be a thing of note that cbd is not a cure for severe stage of psychosis but it helps in manupulating and even reversing neurological trends of disorder.

There have been plenty of animal studies done in the past in regard to marijuana for psychosis, but due to regulations, it is rare for an actual clinical trial to be carried out.

In any regard, the study showed that the active cannabidiol (CBD) compound works to potentially limit the amount of dopamine that is blocked as a result of pharmaceutical drug treatment. (The CBD was administered in correspondence with other medications).
Of the 83 patients that were tested, all who were given CBD treatment experimented “dramatic improvements” in their symptoms, compared to the control group that was given placebo:
“The data indicate that six weeks of treatment adjunctive to antipsychotic medication was associated with significant effects both on positive psychotic symptoms and on the treating clinicians’ impressions of improvement and illness severity.”

Additionally, a January 2017 publication from the Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews showed that CBD can in itself potentially act as an antipsychotic medication.

The study, which was carried out at the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute (IHMRI), proved that active cannabidiol compound can “influence learning, memory and attention, [and also offer] potential solutions to several core symptoms of schizophrenia that can be a challenge to alleviate with existing medicines…”

That being said, it’s clear that CBD is an effective and reliable treatment option, at least to mollify onset symptoms and reduce the frequency of intermittent psychotic episodes. Hopefully, the therapy will offer some sort of a solution for the many millions of people across the globe who do not have access to treatment. While pharmaceutical medications and expensive antipsychotics are not an option for most victims, CBD represents a healthy, natural option for self-medication that’s easily available with or without an official medical marijuana card.

PrEP vs. Other HIV Prevention Strategies: Education, Condom Use, and Behavioral Choices

While Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a highly effective pharmaceutical approach to preventing HIV, it is important to recognize that there are other methods of prevention that can work in tandem or serve as alternatives. These include education, consistent condom use, monogamy, avoiding unprotected sex, and abstinence. Each method has its own benefits and drawbacks, and understanding how they compare can help individuals make more informed choices about their sexual health.   1. Education and Awareness: The Foundation of Prevention Education plays a critical role in preventing the spread of HIV. Knowledge about how HIV is transmitted, the risks of unprotected sex, and the importance of using preventive measures like condoms can significantly reduce the likelihood of infection. Programs that focus on safe sexual practices —including correct condom use, understanding HIV status, and avoiding high-risk behaviors—are essential components of a comprehensive HIV prevention strategy. ...
